The school seeks an outstanding educator and musician for the position of MS-US Choral Accompanist. The pay for this position will be $40 per hour. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will…

  • manifest an earnest, active and ongoing commitment to increasing her/his cultural competency and to valuing and respecting the myriad cultural differences among members of the Greenhill Community and beyond;
  • enjoy working with children in grades 5-12 with varying levels of musical understanding and ability;
  • possess accompanying skills with mid- to high proficient sight reading skills;
  • have a background in standard choral repertoire and jazz vocal (preferred but not required);
  • have composition and arranging skills (strongly desired);
  • have excellent sight reading skills;
  • be comfortable running sectional rehearsals with all grade levels (no performance conducting will be required - basic conducting skills are desired);
  • demonstrate a willingness to collaborate in the development of the choral program;
  • fluency in a langage other than English is desired, but not required.
  • be able to commit to travel to festivals and work some evenings after school for concert performances and the winter musical.
